Now Taking Requests for Future Hosts

Important Update: The schedule for the first quarter of 2007 is now full. We will begin taking requests to fill the second quarter during March. Stay tuned to carnivalofpersonalfinance.com for an announcement.

The Carnival of Personal Finance is now taking requests for hosts in the first three months of 2007. There are only a few slots to be filled, so they will likely fill quickly. Hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance is a great way to build traffic, be involved with the community, and showcase your creativity.

Before you take the plunge and request to host, make sure you read and understand the requirements of hosting. We want to maintain a strong identity and a unique approach, so some of the requirements are new and different than other Carnivals.

If you’re interested in hosting, email hostrequest at this domain (put “Carnival Hosting Request” in the subject) with the following information:

That’s it! The spots will be filled quickly, so email us as soon as possible.

New Guidelines for Hosting

As we’re getting ready to start accepting new hosts, we’re cleaning things up a little bit around here. First, there are new guidelines for hosting. If you’re scheduled to host soon or you’re interested in hosting, please take a look.

Some of our upcoming hosts have been on the list for many months. There is a bit of attrition in the blogosphere, so any blogger who hasn’t posted in the past three weeks has been removed from the list. I’ve also removed myself from the list to open up more slots.

Very shortly, we will start looking for volunteers to fill the first three months of 2007. As of today, that means there will be only five open slots to be filled. In March, we will solicit volunteers for April, May and June. Stay tuned to this blog for the announcement. It may be helpful to subscribe via RSS or email. The announcement will be sooner than the new year.
