Schedule for April Through June 2007
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to host the Carnival of Personal Finance! We had many more applications than there were open slots, as some bloggers signed up last year before we started scheduling only three months at a time. Those who were interested but not selected will be considered alternates in case anyone backs out. We’ll start looking for hosts for July through September in early June.

Now Taking Requests for Future Hosts
The Carnival of Personal Finance is now taking requests for hosts in the second quarter (April, May and June) of 2007. Hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance is a great way to build traffic, be involved with the community, and showcase your creativity.
Before you take the plunge and request to host, make sure you read and understand the requirements of hosting. Please realize that hosting the Carnival can be a lot of work. There are often between 50 and 80 submissions that must be read. The host must at the least choose several as “Editor’s Choice” and provide quick commentary or summaries.

Soon Accepting New Hosts
Very shortly, we will begin accepting applications for hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance for April through June. Watch this space for information on submitting your application.

It’s not very stylish, but there is a new submission form for the Carnival of Personal Finance, to discourage BlogCarnival spammers. For now, both forms will be active concurrently.
The best way to remember to submit an article to the Carnival of Personal Finance using the new form is to subscribe to our RSS feed. You can subscribe via an RSS reader like BlogLines or enter your email address in the form on the sidebar to receive reminders in your inbox.
Now Taking Requests for Future Hosts
Important Update: The schedule for the first quarter of 2007 is now full. We will begin taking requests to fill the second quarter during March. Stay tuned to carnivalofpersonalfinance.com for an announcement.
The Carnival of Personal Finance is now taking requests for hosts in the first three months of 2007. There are only a few slots to be filled, so they will likely fill quickly. Hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance is a great way to build traffic, be involved with the community, and showcase your creativity.
Before you take the plunge and request to host, make sure you read and understand the requirements of hosting. We want to maintain a strong identity and a unique approach, so some of the requirements are new and different than other Carnivals.
If you’re interested in hosting, email hostrequest at this domain (put “Carnival Hosting Request” in the subject) with the following information:
- Your blog’s name and URL
- Links to three Carnivals of Personal Finance within the last three months that contain one of your articles
- Your number of unique visits (user sessions) per week, and the URL of a public SiteMeter page (or similar statistics) for verification
- Links to any mentions of your blog in major online or traditional press
- URLs of any Carnivals you’ve hosted in the past, Carnival of Personal Finance or otherwise
That’s it! The spots will be filled quickly, so email us as soon as possible.
