We are now accepting volunteers for hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance through September. The Carnival of Personal Finance, which you most likely know if you are reading this, is the premiere weekly traveling showcase of the best personal finance articles submitted by bloggers from around the world.

The hosting schedule for the Carnival of Personal Finance through June has been finalized. Thank you to everyone who has offered to host the Carnival in the upcoming months. Over the next week, we will be finalizing the schedule for hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance through June 2008. If you would like to host, there’s still time to get your application in. Here’s how to apply for hosting the Carnival.
Apply to Host the Carnival of Personal Finance
The Carnival of Personal Finance is now looking for volunteers for hosting the Carnival in the months of April, May and June 2007. There are only 13 slots available, and they will go fast. If you’re interested in hosting, take a look at the requirements—they’re a little different than your average Blog Carnival—and provide your information here.
Linking Back to the Carnival is Required
Since the Carnival of Personal Finance was created on June 20, 2005, it has been a rule that all participants must link back to the Carnival if their article was included. With so many spam blogs being added to the internet every day, it’s important that we separate the signal from the noise to maintain the quality of the Carnival.
Participating in the Carnival is all about building buzz, and that only works when participants link back. The “link love” must work two ways. Therefore, we have begun creating a list of spam blogs and bloggers who habitually don’t link back to ensure that the only participants included in the Carnival are those who believe in this mission.
The sooner you link back, the better, but we have no problem with the Carnival being included in a weekly round-up as much as a week later. We have no problem if the link to the latest Carnival is an aside at the bottom of an unrelated post. As long as you link back to the Carnival each time your submission is included, we are happy.
Old Submission Form Deactivated
About a year ago, I created a new submission form for the Carnival of Personal Finance with the intent of slowly phasing all other methods of submitting articles for consideration. Effective immediately for next Monday’s Carnival, submissions from all other sources, including BlogCarnival.com, will not be received.

The hosting schedule for January, February and March 2008 has been announced. Take a look at who will be hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance by visiting the schedule. If you’re interested in hosting the Carnival, we will begin taking “applications” in March for the slots available from April through June.
